"THE KING OF REGGAE" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, November 15 2009 - Bob Marley has done a lot for Jamaica, for Reggae, and indeed for the people of the world. Especially those that suffer, hungering for righteousness which -as Bob Marley believed- will one day cover the earth.

He's not called the King of Reggae for nothing. As he popularized Reggae by using American musicians who would spice up the Roots music, millions were introduced to a music that would stick with them for the rest of their lives.

Reggae brings comfort to the afflicted, hope to the sufferers, strength to the victims, and motivation for those that actually want to do something to improve their environment.

Raspect is due to the man who rightfully wears the title "King Of Reggae".

One Love, Give Thanks,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)

Ever since the Dubroom acquired access to a collection of free and legal (DUB) Reggae MP3 Files last September, it was clear how the enormous collection of Mikey Dread tunes, around 40 or even more, needed to be presented in a special way. This was when the idea for a month-long Mikey Dread special was born and now, Jah Willing this special is scheduled for next month.

In the next month, Mikey Dread will be the featured artist See Mikey Dread's MP3 Spotlight @ mp3.dubroom.orgon the Dubroom MP3 Portal at http://mp3.dubroom.org/, his album "African Anthem Deluxe" will be linked to from almost every page on the Dubroom, Check Album!he will also be the featured artist in the section with Dubroom Artist Pages, and most of all: every day we will feature a reviewed, free and legal MP3 file in the daily editions of Dubroom Online. That's over 30 free tracks, on top of what we've already reviewed. In total, by the end of this year people can get well over 40 free and legal MP3 files, all containing the works of the Dread At The Controls. With the notation, that even more is scheduled on top of all of this!

Of course, the Dubroom is quite happy and grateful for this opportunity to feature the works of a very, very special man who was one of the hardest workers in the field of the promotion of (DUB) Reggae and Consciousness. Of course, the Dubroom as well as Mikey Dread's heirs hope that you'll consider one or more of his albums (on MP3 or disc) as your next (DUB) Reggae purchase, for which we give thanks in advance.

Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)
