Dubroom Online - Edition September 16, 2007
WWW, September 16 2007 - Because of the colonial ties with Jamaica, there is a really strong and influential Reggae Culture in the UK. There's even a special style within Reggae called UK DUB and ROOTS.
Militant Steppers, deep deep One Drops, spaced out Dubs and heartical singers form just a few elements of this subculture of Reggae Culture.
It should therefotre not be a suprise to find a UK Dub on a Jamaican Reggae show. It should therefore not be a suprise to find some heavyweight tunes by a UK based vocalist.
But it sure will give another reason to give thanks.
Give thanks for that music which so many people will faithfully call JAH Music: Reggae Music!
Give Thanks, One Love,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)
