Babylon Observer Video Report: Greece, Arms Before People

WWW, December 2010 - As the European Union forces the country of Greece into cutting all kind of spendings, these very same leaders will also force the country into buying all kinds of stuff for the military.

One billion Euro's in cuts, two billion of Euro's into a couple of war ships from France. That is just one of the ways in which the country is being plundered by the global organizations.

SO WHAT'S UP, MESSIAN DREAD?

WWW, December 16/17 2010 - Some emails, questions in chatrooms and elsewhere: seems like there are some people who like to know what's up with the Dubroom and me, Messian Dread. After everything kind of full-stopped a few months ago, we are now a few weeks before the new year 2011: it's more than time to break the silence on a larger scale than "just" on the Dubroom Forum and some chatrooms I sometimes visit.

There was one direct cause of me having to take it more easy, a thing which people who frequent the Dubroom for longer know: I have periods in which I do suffer a lack of energy, I collapse here and there after putting too much hay on my fork as they say in this agricultural place I live. This was also the case a few months ago, around the time of Buju Banton's bail hearing.

Actually, it was a culmination of things that caused me to be in the situation described in Psalm 23 where JAH makes His sheep to rest in the middle of the green grass. I know that it is JAH Himself Who leads me into such times and usually I come out of there stronger and different. I think this will be the case in this time as well.

The last year for me was quite intense. There were separations with people who are now cursing JAH after fooling some Idren for many years into trusting them as Idren, where the opposite was the case. They could not keep their true identity hidden after Jah Dawta strengthened our little flock of JAH that we are here, and now they show their true -ugly- face.

My official marriage with Jah Dawta was a highlight! We said "yes" to each other in the face of many witness, it was something we worked so hard for years to get this done and by the grace of JAH it happened. "A Love Story Only Jesus Can Write", as someone told us already years ago. And not just a "love story", but the actual creation of a spiritual team ready to chant down babylon and satan once more.

Anyway: what about the website?

Where I first updated the Dubroom on a daily basis, I changed that to updating weekly but even that proved to be too much for me, at least at this time. Because I basically locked myself in that format in which I had to update weekly, I could no longer do that. Simply did not have the time as other things needed to be dealt with as well. That's when I kind of completely collapsed.

As one door closes, another one opens. That's always the case for Jah children, and so it is in this time. To be exact: I don't see the open door yet, but I do feel it.

Changes will be there, on the website. Definitely. I am working on a format that will make the site look better especially in newer computers, and will make it more easy for me to post stuff. Everything to do with (DUB) Reggae and Consciousness, obviously. However, I do feel kind of strong that things will be more loose in the sense that I will probably not be able to guarantee updates on a set time.

Changes will be there globally, too, a thing that I feel in every inch of my body and soul. Babylon is in total panique as her plan for the establishment of her planet-wide prison is continually exposed on every level. The economies collapse in especially USA and Europe, the first one being subjected from isolation from the rest of the world as on one hand people do see the evil being done in the name of USA and others who live there trying to save something what they believe the USA should be.

As things develop, I do feel that I need to document, record and comment on the events. This is done in the Babylon Observer segment of the Dubroom, a part which is arguably even more important than the musical reviews and for which I definitely know myself to have to give energy to. The Babylon Observer weblog and messageboard are currently very much alive and active! I feel strongly that the Babylon Observer will be more actively reporting, documenting and commenting in the coming times.

Musically, I tried to do things this year but -especially now that my headphones broke- I do not think that this is the most important thing for me to do right now, making music that is. Sure, many people ask me when I will put new tunes out, but I really do not feel like doing so and especially since I now have to save some money to get myself headphones again next year I see that Jah is not in a hurry to make me make music either.

Jah made me a free man in the sense that I do not have to solicitate for donations or -even worse- trying to get contracts or sell my music or other stuff. He dictates to me what I am supposed to do, and He provides me with the energy to do what I am supposed to do. I will not get energy for things I'm not supposed to do.

Right now, I am definitely not supposed to make music. Sure, many people would love me to release new tunes and actually ask me about it but I know there are things more important -and urgent- than making music. Being an observer of what's going on in Babylon, an observer without any other agenda than the word MARANATHA, I am definitely not only a producer/musician. There is a time and season for everything. Some people might be drawn to make music especially in this time, where others -like me- are being put on a different track.

Sure, there will be some people disappointed by this "news", if you will, the news that I really cannot tell you when I will start to release musical stuff again. I cannot apologize for it because I myself am not the master of my life, and I do not think that Jah has to apologize for anything. Let's say, that Jah put me on a musical sabbatical or whatever the right phrase is.

There's a lot of things that I think about doing, but there's a difference between what I would like to do and what I'm supposed to do. Usually, as stated before, I go by the energy that Jah gives me. I won't get the energy to make music, I simply conclude I'm not supposed to and to be frank, there are several reasons I can see just why that is. Music is strong, but it can also be used as a way of concealing other things. Like it is said that the band played while the Titanic sank to the bottom of the sea, it could very well be that as long as I make music I am not speaking out about this sinking ship that is called Babylon and of which I see so many brethren and sistren identifying themselves with. Is that not a much more urgent thing to address than releasing the next drum and bassline?

So, then, what is my idea about activities in the near future?

When I follow the visions of my eyes and the sound in my ears, I feel strongly that I am led to dig deeper and deeper into matters that I already have been studying and researching for many years. The story of the Creator and His creation, if you will. Especially in this time, I sense that there is a next birth pain coming up, a prophetic change of seasons if you will. This will include more separation of the goat and the sheep, this will include that those who are dirty will become more dirty whereas those who are clean will become more clean. It's a supernatural process which adheres to supernatural laws, described in the Book of Books (Bible).

I feel led to start compiling my research, observing the current things that reach my vision and speak out with my mouth what my eyes and ears observe. In this season, for me the time has come to break away from expectations one and ones might have and do only what I know JAH wants me to do. I feel no other obligations, I do not have the energy to do what I know many would like me to do.

I will keep updating the website and weblogs, will also keep on reviewing music and perhaps start podcasting again as well, but this does not have my priority at the moment. Nothing against music, of course, this is just a thing that I personally am going through and this is for me. I really feel very strong that JAH wants to show me and perhaps others that HE owns me and HE created me. I did not create myself.

In the case you want to stay up-to-date with my current runnings, I suggest to subscribe to one or more mailing lists or even better: become a member of the Dubroom Message Boards and start to contribute to the massive amount of material we've come up with during the years.

WWW, September 28 2010 - "Set Him Free" is a powerful track by the Connecticut-based Jamaican singer Pappa Biggy, created in 2009 when the news broke on Buju Banton's arrest in Florida on cokane charges. After almost nine months of being in jail, Buju Banton was finally put before a judge and jury, who could not come to a verdict with the result that a new trial is set for December. That's when Buju Banton will then be in jail for a year.

Pappa Biggy graciously gave the Dubroom permission to upload the track.

DUBROOM ONLINE EDITION SEPTEMBER 27 - OCTOBER 2

FROM THE EDITOR

WWW, September 20 2010 - Will Buju Banton's innocence be acknowledged or rejected by the jury? That's the question, and also the one and only topic of this week's edition of Dubroom Online. For it is in this week that we will see just what the jury will decide.

Next week, Jah Willing, there's gonna be a lot of musical works reviewed. There's a lot on the table, but the issue concerning Buju Banton has my one and only focus at the moment. I can not write a positive review about anything, as I have this vision of Buju Banton locked in a jail because he was clearly entrapped by Babylon.

The fact that the jury could not come to a decision which in itself is not so difficult to make -Buju is innocent of the crime they say has been committed but he's the victim of government sponsored agent provocateurs who entrapped him- worries me.

Are they wanting to know the truth or are they just doing what they are supposed to do in this New World Order?

We will see it this week.

When Buju will be free, there's gonna be a lot of celebration. When they decide to follow lies and keep him in jail, there's gonna be a lot of chanting down Babylon.

BUJU BANTON'S JURY TRIAL

BUJU BANTON'S JURY TRIAL
BABYLON OBSERVER REPORT

More!

WWW, September 26 2010 -Nine months after the arrest of Buju Banton who was said to be involved in a mega deal concerning cokane, we're in the weekend after the trial. The jury has to agree unanimous, and that seems to be a problem: they talked for two days and will continue after this weekend.

Official Poliice picture of Buju Banton (Click for Bigger Picture) When Dubroom Message Board member David Pablo posted "Buju Busted", it drove the immediate attention of the Babylon Observer and it's readers/visitors. Consequently, the news was on the events was monitored and comments were attached.

When the trial finally took place last week, an end was put to all speculations and the case itself is rather clear: Buju Banton is innocent of dealing drugs but has put himself in a lot of trouble as he was, according to his own words, "talking crap and tried to impress".

In short: US Gov't assigned an informer on Buju Banton, with the mission to entrap him in some kind of predicament.

After a European tour, namely, on a flight from Spain to Florida, this informer established contact with Buju Banton and fed him wine, more wine, with the result that the two were speaking about cokane deals and Buju on his side told -indeed- a lot of crap, according to his own saying just to "impress" the agent.

This informer, later in the year, took Buju on a trip to a boat. Being of the impression that they would have a nice time on the water or something like that, Buju was then being confronted with a bag of cokane and was filmed tasting it.

The informer indeed organized a cokane deal, but there were two other men who he was actually dealing with. In the trial, he admitted to this as well. The other two men have both signed plea-deals to get shorter sentences.

The lawyer of one of them was interviewed for television (below)

According to the Jamaica Observer, Buju Banton was "offered" two years in exchange for his confession but refused because he is not guilty. A wise move, for when you're innocent you don't want to be registered as a criminal for the rest of your life. On top of that, why lie?

Closer observers could see how Buju Banton was really a very easy target for the agent provocateurs, so-called informers whose job basically is to keep crime rates high and prisons full. Someones make good living of the fraudulent "war on drugs", someones who want to keep drugs illegal. Simply put a paid informer at work for $50,000.- and start to boast a little in a first class plain-travel.

Those who know Dancehall music know that a huge part of it consists out of boasting lyrics: if taken literal, all dancehall artists should be in jail for wanting to kill each other and much more. This is a mentality which fits perfectly in what Buju Banton did "backstage", if you will. He thought he was taking part in some kind of DJ contest where the one with the biggest mouths gain the most respect.

It must be taken into consideration that the life people like Buju Banton live is far from that of a "normal" life. He is probably surrounded by people who need to big him up all the time, for their own benefit or not. When you hear all the time how good you are and all of that, it's difficult to stay humble.

Hopefully, the jury will see all this. Nothing worse than a group of people who are supposed to practice truth-finding rather than filling pockets and prisons with people considered "politically incorrect".

Buju Banton is a high level target of the homosexual community, there are web logs cheering over the fact that Buju is in jail. To them, he's in jail because of his stance towards the sexual preference of others and to them, rightfully so.

Will the jury agree with that, or not?

The weekend in which this is written, is still a time of uncertainty when it comes to the final verdict of the jury and judge. Apparently the jury couldn't even agree over the question as to whether a crime was committed or not. It was the judge who told the jury: "A crime was committed, your task is to decide as to whether Buju Banton is part of it or not".

That question is easily answered, and when the jury turns out to declare guiltiness on Buju's head then the real guilt will be on the jury's head and the Real Judge, JAH, will eventually judge the righteous judgment.

For now, however, there is still hope for a good outcome in this time and place...

We'll keep you posted.

DUBROOM ONLINE EDITION SEPTEMBER 20-26 2010

FROM THE EDITOR

WWW, September 20 2010 - It's a bit difficult to be enthusiastic over the contents of this edition of Dubroom Weekly: after all, this is the day in which Buju Banton is going to court to face his accusers that framed him. However, with three podcasts and seven crucial free and legal MP3 files, it's worth to check out.

Yes, we started doing Podcast reviews again after what could very well be over a year in which there was no podcast review. We've got two UK Sound System sessions, one live and one done for the Internet by DJ Ian Irie from the Ambassada Hi Powah Sound.

Since there's only a little bit of space left for this month in the Dubroom's podbean account, this week's podcast is almost one hour. In October we can start doing longer ones again and Jah Willing, we will.

Then there is my small commentary on what is scheduled to happen today in Miami (USA), when Buju Banton will be facing his accusers. A scandal, or should I even say, several scandals as certain websites express their joy over Buju's situation, not even caring as to whether he actually did what his accuser say he did.

We've got six tunes from the Polish based Ostrada festival: Mungo's HiFi and Zion Train, Everton Blender, Johnny Clarke and Rootz Underground, they're all present in Hi quality free/legal MP3 format.

Hopefully, next week we'll be having a better time as Jah Willing Buju Banton will be considered innocent even though the web of lies that the gov't created is kind of thick.

ON THE BUJU BANTON MATTER

ON THE BUJU BANTON MATTER
MESSIAN DREAD COMMENTARY

ON THE BUJU BANTON MATTER

WWW, September 20 2010 - Today is the day in which Buju Banton will finally appear before the american judge after he was framed by a government paid informer, who also received money to get the Dancehall and Reggae vocalist in prison.

On the Dubroom Message Boards, the "Buju Banton Cokane Case" is followed by several members who post updates when they happen. It will probably be the same in the next couple of days, when things will become more clear. However, I am feeling pressed to write my own commentary on "the-day-before", if you will (this was actually written September 19).

When the news broke, last year December, that Buju Banton was arrested for allegedly planning to sell over five kilo's of cokane, there was hardly anyone who could take it serious. It was almost a laughing matter, was it not for the fact that this is a serious thing when you are being arrested in the USA for these charges.

As I overstand the story, Buju Banton had a conversation with a paid government informer on a an airplane from Spain to the USA, after which he remained to have contact with this informer. According to the little information that comes out, this informer pressed Buju to do cokane deals.

Then, there are two other people arrested together with the Reggae singer. One of them initially signed a statement saying Buju Banton has nothing to do with the cokane case these people might or might not be involved in. However, both men have joined Babylon and are now accusing Buju Banton in order to get a lower sentence themselves. These things are very normal in the USA and they are called "plea-deals". In short: when the government can't get their evidence, they just intimidate you and say: "plea guilty, we will lower the sentence".

Plea-deals are an abomination, both for truth-finding and for the overall sense of justice. How many people have actually said they were guilty of a crime they did not commit, only because if they keep sticking to the truth they will serve much longer in these prisons? JAH knows, definitely!

Personally, I do not believe that Buju Banton has anything to do with any cokane case. Sure, when you're working in music you will be confronted with hard drugs, simply because many artists and other workers in music are using the drugs. This is the closest connection between Buju Banton and cokane I can think of.

Buju Banton is a very popular artist. He might not be a zillionaire like many of these superstars, But I do not think he really needed to get himself into any cokane deals in order to make his living. On top of that, Buju Banton would probably have known about the fact that the US government create most of their drug cases by means of paid informers, or should I say, agent provocateurs...

Buju was obviously framed. There are too many people who would like him to shut down as his musical works are an offense to certain politikal korrekt ones. I have seen "gay" websites cheering over the fact that Buju is in jail, some even saying that they don't care if Buju did the cokane thing or not.

I hope and pray, that JAH will not allow the shitstem to do to Buju Banton what they are obviously planning. I have little trust in the truth-finding nature that a court should be, but JAH is the Almighty.

One good thing which comes out of this, though: as far as I can see an end has come to the enormous flood of Reggae tunes worshipping the guy in the white house as people are waking up (again?) to the fact that gross injustice is being done, not only to Buju, but to many more Jamaican artists and non-artists who saw their visas revoked.

A SHOWCASE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

A SHOWCASE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
RADIO DUBROOM 2010 CHAPTER 2010
Episode Download Page
WWW, September 2010 - Four different Sounds, each one coming with two vocal tracks accompanied by their Dub versions: it's time for a showcase, a Righteous Showcase selected by Messian Dread for your spiritual and social inspiration. Courtesy some of the top producers of this time!
"A Showcase Of Righteousness" it is, indeed. In Reggae Culture, a Showcase album or selection gives you vocal tracks with their Dub versions, sometimes mixed in one non-stop track or two separate tunes. Righteousness obviously refers to the contents of the lyrics: it's all about Livity and Consciousness.
The show opens up with two great tunes produced by the Dutch based Slimmah Sound, the first one released on Zion Train's Deep Root label while Kyle Sicarius' "Tribulation" came out on Slimmah's own Roots Tribe Records. Excellence showing how Roots Music will continue in this century.
Tena Stelin's album "Sun and Moon", released on the Conscious Sounds label is in itself an excellent Showcase album, too. The UK Dub and Roots veterans have been writing history for decades already, and this production with the UK based conscious singer is yet another example of that. Two tunes, one with a message of Babylon's upcoming fall and another containing praises to Jah, "The Original Author" with which we wholeheartedly agree here in the Dubroom.
Chanter Jah Marnyah and singer Anthony John, both riding a Vibronics produced steppers riddim and Dub continue the Showcase of Righteousness, with some heavyweight DUB sounds mixed in that special Vibronics sound, mixing old-skool technology with contemporary digital possibilities in a unique way. From Vibronics' very own Scoops Label, originally released on 10 inch.
The show concludes with two crucial steppers riddims by the UK DUB Twins Alpha and Omega, whose specific bass-centralized music have been blasting through the speakers of all of UK's legendary Sound Systems, including the great Jah Shaka who was by himself instrumental in getting the duo together to release tunes back in the 1980's.
Consciousness is the key in all of the music. Enjoy!

DUBROOM MP3 PODCAST REVIEW

AMBASSADA HI-POWAH PRESENTS: ENTEBBE SOUND LIVE IN SESSION

WWW, September 2010 - Ever since Reggae Music is there, there is Reggae Music in the UK. Of course this includes a whole lot of Sound Systems, each one coming with their own selections and equipment. In this special episode of the Ambassada Hi-Powah podcasts, we are taken to a heartical session by the mighty Entebbe Sound.

Sure, the sound quality is not in the best digital quality, possibly even taken from cassette tape. However, this increases the experience of heavy bass and live chanting by several MC's. The energetic session, of which about 46 minutes is recorded, is a school example of the heartical vibes and spiritual truths which are being spread through the conscious Sound Systems, of which Entebbe is not the least.

You'll hear a crucial number of Dub Plates (special mixes), over which there's -next to chanting- a lot of effects and EQ changes. The bass goes deeper than deep, the tunes are presented in the true old-skool Sound System style of wheeling records, having "silent" breaks between the titles, et cetera.

Niceness, seen?

STEP IT! WALK IT! SKANK IT! - AN IRIE MEDITATION MIX BY IAN IRIE

WWW, September 2010 - Named after the great Nucleus Roots track (played in the show), DJ Ian Irie shows us once again what over three decades of experience can bring both the selector as well as the listener: An Irie Meditation it is!

Not a single knob is left untouched when Ian Irie is at the controls. No different in this mix: we are being treated to musical works of several producers but everything is mixed to one crucial vibe, the Ambassada Hi Powah vibe, that is...

Another thing which shows the expertise of our selector, is the fact that tracks from several different periods blend well together in the mix. There is a timeless, eternal if you will, element there which can only be presented when it is experienced as well.

Yes I, another great selection by one of the veterans of the Sound System culture that started in the Jamaica and the UK but has in the meantime spread all over the world.

IRIE!

MUNGO'S HI-FI - DON'T LET THEM BREAK YOUR HEART DUB

WWW, September 2010 - Based in Glasgow (Scotland), Mungo's Hi-Fi Sound was established in 2000 and have continued to grow into on of the better known Sound Systems from the UK. In this tune, we're getting a special remix the Sound Systems did especially for the Polish based Ostrada festival.

A deep One Drop (bass) Drums, an ever deeper bassline: the foundation is truly solid. The mixing is skillful, all the instruments are there including the horns and of course there are vocal snippets .

All in all, when you didn't know Mungo's Hi-Fi this is your chance to change!

WWW, September 2010 - In this special remix of the Johnny Clarke collaboration with the Soothsayers band, done by UK based Sound System and Dub producer Manasseh, we have yet another true gem of Reggae waiting to arrive on your hard disk.

It's a crucial tune, both production-wise as well as lyrically. Johnny Clarke's voice ripened more even though back in the seventies his voice was already ripe. It's amazing to hear just alone, how decades of singing has brought Johnny Clarke to this level.

Just one remark: it's really too bad that this is only a vocal track, as a Discomix would be nicer. Perhaps, too nice? After all, we can't have it all...

EVERTON BLENDER - GHETTO YOUTHS

WWW, September 2010 - Riding a contemporary rendering of the classic Real Rock riddim, Everton Blender showing once again just what he is able to do with his voice. In "Ghetto Youths", he stands up for the fact that there's too much suffering in the ghetto's in spite of the fact that many of the youths have good hearts.

Where many look down on the ghetto people, as much as many will also see the rising of the good-hearted youths as they fight their way up to the top. A thought-provoking statement, delivered in the Roots and Culture style of the upful Rastaman.

Crucially Crucial!

ZION TRAIN - GIVE ME GOOD SENSI (LIVE AT OSTRADA FESTIVAL POZNAN, POLAND, 2009)

WWW, September 2010 - "Give Me Good Sensi" is a well-known Zion Train riddim, with Earl Sixteen at the microphone. In this live rendering done at the Polish Ostrada festival, there's no Earl 16 but the vibe is definitely more than there.

The message is clear, and the message is given in Poland but should be heard all over: we need Rub a Dub and the right sensi, not no chemical poison and devil vibes to mash up our minds.

The music is clear, too: heavyweight bass and dub sounds, with live voicing and live mixing to create the good vibrations once again.

ZION TRAIN - KNOW ABOUT JAH (LIVE AT OSTRADA FESTIVAL POZNAN, POLAND, 2009)

WWW, September 2010 - Introduced as "This Is The Sufferers Style", Zion Train comes again with a Dub Plate style Dubwise riddim, with nuff live mixing and singing, nuff wheels, nuff breaks, nuff message.

Nine minutes and forty seconds of pure Dubwise and Conscious Niceness fe true: as the Zion Train interacts with the audience, delivering the message that it's all about knowing about Jah as the ancients knew about the Creator. Given the fact that this is all taking place at a location where already a few decades ago the Jah-denying communist government was still trying to fight all that knowledge down, pure vibes for those with ears to hear!

ROOTZ UNDERGROUND - ROCKET

WWW, September 2010 - After the countdown, we're being treated to a very majestic intro, with a full band plus backing vocals delivering the right vibe for the rest of the track.

A very smoky voice continues to ride the live riddim after the introduction, asking just why there is so much money spent on rockets to space and military objectives, where love and peace should be running the place.

The band plays tight, obviously they've done this before, including the electric guitar solo which give the music a rock vibe, and a saxophone playing crucially skillfully.

SCIENTIST AND DUB LOUNGE INT. - OVER THE CLIFFS

WWW, September 2010 - They've backed for Winston Jarrett, worked with a lot of well-known names from Black Uhuru to Buju Banton and many others. Seattle based Dub Lounge International know their Roots Music and their Dub, too: especially with Scientist At the Controls!

The riddim is ultra-slow, drums are played in One Drop style, the bass is there at the right place: Scientist rides the multitrack recording from behind the mixing board, where he has an interesting interaction with the music as engineer and recording blend together for three minutes and fifty-six seconds.

This one is simply, Ire, cool music, totally in harmony with the name of the players of instruments.

DUBROOM ONLINE EDITION AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 19 2010

FROM THE EDITOR

WWW, September 12 2010 - Sure thing: it took a long time before this edition of Dubroom weekly was finally ready and that had nothing to do with any lack of contents, as you can see: hours and hours of music plus a review of the brand new Zion Train Dub Selections Sample pack which all Dub producers and Selectors must check out!

Sure: those who have been following up with the runnings in the Dubroom know that your's truly got married about a week ago and I was of the impression that before that time I could put out another edition of Dubroom Weekly.

It didn't mean there was nothing and that's why this kind of in-between edition of Dubroom Weekly is packed, literally. First of all with no less than six podcasts, that's well over 8 hours worth of music. Then with a brand new album by yours truly plus four single tracks which I did using the brand new Zion Train Dub Selections Sample Pack which -by the way- is also reviewed in-depth for this edition.

That's not all, either. Meet Aba Shanti-I, one of the leading sounds of UK DUB and ROOTS as they talk about their works for almost two hours on a video done for the Red Bull Music Academy. Download both chapters of the Revolutionary Dub Vibration compilations, plus some digital niceness by Injham and last but definitely not least: four special mixes by the UK DUB Twins Alpha and Omega.

Hopefully and Jah Willing, the next edition will be published on September 20. After that, we hope to be able to put out Dubroom Weekly on a real weekly basis.

DUBROOM STAR SELECTIONS MP3 RELEASE

WWW, August 2010 - Fifteen previously unreleased Dubs straight from the Dubroom Archives, most of which come from even previously unreleased riddims: It's called "Dubbing" and it's out there now!

Dubbing it is: from the top to the very last drop. Most of the tracks are previously unreleased riddims, with the exception of two or three, one of which even has a totally different drumline put to it than the one in which it was originally released.

Dubbing it is, also in the sense that the mixing is predominantly done in a pretty lively style. At places, everything goes wild and at other instances there's a more relaxed approach as the drum and bass find their way.

Most tracks on the album come with a Steppers drums, especially towards the end of the album you hear one after the other. There's several containing authentic recordings of pilots and army people talking about UFO sightings as well.

Radio Dubroom 2010 Chapter 15: Step Out Of Her Jah People - Straight and Narrow Road

STEP OUT OF HER JAH PEOPLE - STRAIGHT AND NARROW ROAD
RADIO DUBROOM 2010 EPISODE 15
WWW, August 2010 - Get your bass speakers out for a conscious experience that will keep you jumping and skanking for the full 120 minutes: In a two-hour selection of stricktly Steppers DUBs and Vocals, this episode of Radio Dubroom 2010 follows the musical Straight and Narrow road of the underground aka Roots!
With a true Alpha and Omega classic, originally released on 10 inch vinyl, Bush Chemists providing some positive advice and Kanka coming in warrior style, this show opens with three Dubs which pretty much set the tone for the rest of the podcast.
It's not just Dubwise, though, and the magnificent Pablo Gad enters with his massive "Technology" ("They Tek From You And They Tek From Me And They Call It Tek-knowlogy") plus Dub version to show it. Dub Conductor is next, with a brand new free release followed by a Dub Plate remix, unavailable for download.
More vocal tracks with their Dub versions: the mighty conscious Slimmah Sound from the Netherlands, associated with King Shiloh. His production "Jah Is My Light" with vocalist Kyle Sicarius is a massive piece of Roots Reggae, and featured in the show. Rohan Lee and Kenny Knots on Vibronics' Scoops Label are present as well, that is just before another selection of stricktly Dub enters.
Disciples, Jonah Dan, Alpha and Omega, Nucleus Roots: some top names in the field of UK Roots and especially DUB, a thing we can hear back in the Dub segment. Massive, deep bass for example!
In the final part of the show we go back to vocals with their Dub versions. Daddy Teacha, for example, known from the MP3.com days enters with his collaboration with Alpha and Omega and Vibronics. There's more from Vibronics, more from Conscious Sounds and more from -again- the mighty and conscious Slimmah Sound. This time it's vocalist Zed-I with some remarks about the herb that is denied by some by accepter by others.
The show closes with a mighty Dub from the Italian Dub Community Showcase series. Redemption is a must, a thing which can be found at the end of the Straight and Narrow road, both musically and spiritually.

WWW, August 2010 - Yes, another ninety minutes of foundational and conscious music from the Roots and Culture frontline: Dubs, Vocals and Discomixes from some of the best in the UK and EURODUB and ROOTS scene are here once again!
The show starts of with a selection of conscious tracks from the Netherlands: opening up with a dub, a vocal and a discomix by the mighty Slimmah Sound, a beautifully sung track by Lyrical Benie which carres a message which we here in the Dubroom feel to the fullness, that's why there's also the discomix "Yesus Messiah" included in this segment.

After that, we dive straight into the UK for some crucial releases by Zion Train, Conscious Sounds and Vibronics: all coming with their vocal and dub version mixed together.

Vibronics' "Marcus Garvey Dub" opens the third segment, which carries a lot of DUB from the Online frontline. Some top names there, too: I-Tist, Gadman Dubs and Hatman for example.

The fourth and last segment contains a selection from the Italian DUB band and collective BR Stylers. This collective is truly one of the discoveries of this year here in the Dubroom.

Radio Dubroom 2010 Chapter 17: The Warriors Are Coming

THE WARRIORS ARE COMING
RADIO DUBROOM 2010 CHAPTER 17
WWW, September 2010 - Powerful and militant riddims serve as the musical foundation on which the singers and Dub engineers do their excellent works. From the Swedish based LION DUB to the Netherlands with SLIMMAH SOUND to the UK where ALPHA AND OMEGA plus a whole number of other workers do their thing.
Just after the powerful opening by the Bush Chemists (Conscious Sounds Studio), the set presents the mighty "Jah is Calling You" riddim by the mighty UK DUB Twins Alpha and Omega: just the drum and bass alone give some crucial militant vibes but there's much more happening in the two different mixes.
Following the first segment, we're taken to a number of vocal tracks with their Dub versions. First is Jah Marnyah with some crucial words concerning the fact that the Babylonian church totally "ignored" the Book of Enoch, kept in Ethiopia, Nishka with a heartical plea to Jah children to consider the fact that yes, we are one body and should live like that as well. Cyrenius Black is up next, riding a Conscious Sounds riddim praising the Most High once more cause it can't be done enough, seen? Last tune of this chapter-and-version-segment is Earl 16 with the Abassi All-Stars, meditating on the fact that there's just too much homeless children with fathers who don't care about their children.
More Dub is to follow after the Dub part of the Abassi All-Star's "Surviving (Discomix)", LION DUB from Sweden to be exact. From their excellent Net Album a tune called People Rise DUB. Forward to Nucleus Roots from the UK with two Dubs and one vocal, ending with JAH MELODIE singing over another crucial SLIMMAH SOUND riddim, with a righteous call to "Get Active" cause there is just too much to do.
Yes, as Enoch foretold: the warriors are coming!

Radio Dubroom 2010 Chapter 18: Jah Lion Inna Inglan

JAH LION INNA INGLAN
RADIO DUBROOM 2010 CHAPTER 18
More On This Chapter
WWW, September 2010 - In the meantime, UK DUB and ROOTS is taking over the European continent and serves as the foundation as a true new generation discovers, enjoys and produces the music. JAH LION INNA INGLAN pays respect and tribute to some of the UK-based masters of DUB and Roots, all being influential in this positive movement.
It's almost becoming a tradition: the show opens up with a militant steppers DUB from the always upful Conscious Sounds studio. Directly after that, we dive into a selection of vocals with their DUB versions from Vibronics studio.
Mark Iration, Murray Man and Echo Ranks all give some teachings, encouragements and general upliftment of Truth. Vocals and dubs, all produced by Steve Vibronics, whose specific sound is more-than apreciloved here in the Dubroom. The same thing can be said about the Zion Train and Vibronics Dubwise collaboration.
It's not just Vibronics and Zion Train, though. Dougie Wardrop's Conscious Sounds studio can be considered as a generation older than said two generals of UK DUB and ROOTS. There's a significant segment of Conscious Sounds material following.
UK-based online artist EL BIB (known from the Revolutionary DUB Vibrations Net Albums) has a crucial collaboration with Conscious Sounds and vocalist Clappers. We've got special permission to play both the vocal and the Dub of the excellent "We Love Dub", with vocal in Macka B style and the mixing in the traditional, orthodox way.
Vocalist King General made a crucial album for Conscious Sounds entitled "Money Run Things". In this chapter of Radio Dubroom 2010, we play another selection than the title track. The vocalist fortunately came back after a long hiatus, but that's for another show as well. Time for Culture Freeman to ride another Conscious Sounds riddim, just as crucial and just as powerful.
JAH LION INNA INGLAN closes of with another Vibronics production, this time with vocalist Madu. His words on the Book of the Apocalypse give more than enough food for thought, so it's a perfect ending of yet another chapter in the ongoing series of the Radio Dubroom 2010 podcasts.
Enjoy!

Radio Dubroom 2010 Chapter 19: Rockers Solid Foundation

ROCKERS SOLID FOUNDATION
RADIO DUBROOM 2010 CHAPTER 19
More!
WWW, September 2010 - Even though the music was created over three decades ago, there is not one milligram of the heavy weight gone missing. In "Rockers Solid Foundation", Radio Dubroom presents over one-and-a-half hour of pure Jamaican niceness from back then!
The opening track is a classic on it's own, even though originally there were only a few hundred copies pressed of the magnificent Tappa Zukie dubs. "MPLA" is a heavyweight steppers and definitely sets the tone for the rest of the show.
After Big Youth's classic Mosiah Garvey in Discomix style, we go to Trinity who give respect to the iriginal Jesus Dread, aka Yabby You. A big spiritual example to the webmaster of the Dubroom, it's obvious that Trinity is followed up by the man himself, as he chants along with his Prophets group that King Pharaoh better watch his step. More crucial toasting of Trinity on the same riddim, which makes place for some crucial mixing by the Founding Father of DUB himself: King Tubby's at the control.
Next up is two dubs and two vocals by Prince Jammy's at the Control and Horace Andy at the microphone stand. Dub mixing which will give you thrills, that is, when you feel Dubwise for what it really is. otherwise you cannot refuse the wisdom rendered verbally by Horace Andy, introduction not required.
Johnny Clarke, Prince Alla, Junior Ross, Sylford Walker: there's a segment of stricktly Discomixes and that segment comes right after the Prince Jammy and Horace Andy tracks. Heavyweight Roots in a style that has definitely moved forward into this century even though it's clear that the old skool equipment used back in the day were only heralding what was yet to come.
The final five titles of this tribute to the Founding Fathers goes back to a stricktly Dubwise vibe: inner Circle in a way they will not be recognized these days, two dubs that came as the result of Prince Jammy's mixing for Dennis Brown's DEB label and last but not least two Dubs from a collaboration with Prince Jammy and Michael Prophet, the great Reggae singer who was -just like Michael Rose and countless others- discovered and tutored by Yabby You, who was not just a great vocalist but equally if not even more a top notch producer.

RUFF AND TUFF
RADIO DUBROOM 2010 CHAPTER 20
More!
WWW, September 2010 - With a lot of jingles and effects from the great Zion Train Dub Selections sample pack (reviewed in the Dubroom), Ruff and Tuff contains a heavyweight selections of vocals and dubs from the UK and the European continent.
Conscious Sounds studio opens up this selection with Culture Freeman and King General at the microphone. Both vocalists are known for their works with Dougie Wardrop's studio, even though King General was a mystery to many until the "All Tribes Welcome" website posted a video review with the singer and Dougie Wardrop (Look HERE).
The heart of the podcast is filled with heavyweight Dubwise, of which you can hear two earthshaking dubs from Conscious Sounds as a start. Iration Steppas take over, Slimmah Sound, Nucleus Roots, BR Stylers and others come with more drum-and-bass-line music.
The show ends with two titles from UK based Boney L: on a Vibronics riddim she sings the well-known "English Girl", after which Alpha and Omega join with more music over which the singer sings about the one Roots, JAH ROOTS!
