Give Thanks (Webmaster Column)

Dubroom Online - Edition December 1, 2007

"GIVE THANKS" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, December 1 2007 - Greetings in what is the last month of this calendar year, a special year wherein we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Dubroom.

To quote Bob Marley: "By the Hands of the Almighty, we forward in this generation"...

Sure thing: to give thanks and praises to the Most High is a must, if only because of the plain reality that it is He, the Creator and Almighty JAH that give us life to live.

Giving thanks and praises to JAH: it's the theme of what many people consider to be the most important Rastafarian Anthem.

Satta Massa Gana: Give Thanks And Praise!

Give Thanks, One Love,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)

DUBROOM MP3 REVIEW

WWW, December 2007 - Shortly introduced by our host, here is 25 minutes of what could be called THE Rastafarian Riddim of all times. Give Thanks And Praise, or in Ethiopian Language: Satta Massa Gana!

Satta Massa Gana is widely considered to be the Rastafarian Anthem of all times and houses. A whole host of artists released something on the riddim and almost every time it is a spiritual experience for both the artist and the listener.

There's even something deeply spiritual in the riddim itself, as we can hear in this podcast. Our host selected ten great renderings of the classic riddim, each one in itself a beauty!

BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS REHEARSING "COULD YOU BE LOVED", SEPTEMBER 14 1980
Dubroom (DUB) Reggae Video Review

WWW, November 2007 - Nine minutes of what is claimed to be the last filmed rehearsal footage of the King of Reggae!

Bob Marley was known to be kind of really strict when it came to his musical leadership during the times wherein he toured around the world as Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Whether that is so, can be seen here on what is claimed to be the last filmed rehearsal of the band. During the video we'll meet Bob Marley and the Wailers in the Criteria Studio's in Miami Florida (USA), during a rehearsal at September 14 1980.

The vibes of the time are perfectly registered, even though the sounds and sights are not of the highest quality. But that is not of anyone's list of priority when it comes to viewing material like this.
