"MAKIN' DUB (7)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, January 22 2009 - As I hope you hear when listening to my latest album "DUB Shall Go On", I hope you can share my enthusiasm for that art which made the engineer become an artist.
I make instrumental tunes just to DUB them, and to DUB a tune is basically to deconstruct the instrumental track by stripping everything apart from the drum and bass.
However, you have to put the instruments back here and there, and you have to stop the drum and bassline too a few times in the DUB mix.
After all, most people will not like listening to a pure drum and bassline for 3 or 4 minutes.
The art is to take as much away as possible, bring it back only after you've run it through some serious effects.
One Love, Give Thanks,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)

DUBROOM STAR SELECTIONS RELEASE
This is the 8th track of the album "DUB Shall Go On", released from January 15 to January 24 2009.
No, this is not about the "Holy Grail". This is about the Real Chalis: the heavyweight Herb Smoker's delight as I would say. Without apology, here is a massive DUB with loads of different echo's as the Drum and Bass take us from the top to the very last drop.
