"OBAMA NATION (1)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, June 2 2009 - From the start of his election campaign to his inauguration right to his first 100 days in office, Barack Obama was the topic of just too many Reggae tunes to mention.
From "The battle has been won" to "righteousness comes forth from the White House", the lyrics voiced by well known artists like Michael Rose, Sizzla and Coco Tea display Obama almost like the Emperor of Ethiopia.
This is definitely not limited to Reggae Music, but what is kind of striking is the fact that -unlike musical styles like Hip Hop and Rap- there is virtually no critique against the US President.
What happened to this music, a music in which Chanting Down Babylon is a must and artists to give praises to the Almighty even when they themselves do not believe in Jah Word?

WWW, June 2009 - WWW, June 2009 - This remix of Barrington Levy's classic is definitely not over 16 years, but the Bounty Hunter surely is. Two tunes from the man that gave birth to the timeless "under mi sensi", to name just one.
WWW, June 2009 - The Hollywood movie "Minority Report" pictures a world where people are arrested because of crimes they... are going to commit in the future. Science Fiction? Not when Barack Obama gets his plans!
