(Dub) Reggae and Consciousness (1)

Dubroom Online - Edition October 7, 2007

"(DUB) REGGAE AND CONSCIOUSNESS (1)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, October 7 2007 - Because the Dubroom independently promotes (DUB) Reggae and Consciousness, we reach out to and publish/review the works of many different people.

We might post an article by a conscious writer who may not know that much about Reggae Music. And yes: we might review works of an artist who may not necessarily be a bright and shining light of consciousness.

Although most of the Dubroom visitors/readers apprecilove the combination we promote, some have questions. And yes, there are even enemies of the Dubroom.

JAH Willing, this week we'll will address their issues.

Give Thanks, One Love,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)

BLACK UHURU - FIRE CITY
Dubroom (DUB) Reggae Video Review

WWW, September 2007 - In the mid 1980's, Jamaica Music was Rub a Dub and became Ragga or Dancehall. Sly and Robbie went a totally different way with Black Uhuru and Fire City is one of their tunes from that time.

Again, Sly and Robbie combine what made Black Uhuru: Dub effects, strong drum and basslines with loads of militant lyrics on top of it, crucial instrumentation and a solid production.
