Dubroom Online - Edition November 9, 2007
"NYABINGHY (1)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, November 9 2007 - Greetings! The video reviewed for this edition of Dubroom Online isn't really Reggae, but nevertheless it is...
How can that be?
The tune is built on the Nyabinghy rhythm, which is very similar to the human heart beat. The rhythm is used in the official Rastafarian gatherings (often called: grounations) and stands for: "Death To Black And White Downpressors"
This pure Rastafarian rhythm can be incorporated within Reggae, but there are even Rastas who would say you shouldn't play Reggae at all, but stick to the Nyabinghy rhythm.
Give Thanks, One Love,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)
