"NYABINGHY (2)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, November 10 2007 - For today, we reviewed an excellent documentary about the 1979 edition of the "Mother of all Reggae Festivals".
In this documentary, we team up with a few Rastafarians who show us how they play the traditional Rhythm of the Rastaman, which is not Reggae but Nyabinghy.
The brethren explain to us, just why they prefer to use the hand drums and play their heart-beat rhythm in that natural way.
Check back tomorrow, by the way. We even have more stuff on the rhythm that -translated- means: "Death To Black And White Downpressors".
Give Thanks, One Love,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)
