REGGAE 3 WAY: BRIGADEER JERRY, CHARLIE CHAPLIN AND JOSEY WALES (LIVE)
Dubroom (DUB) Reggae Video Review

WWW, November 2007 - three of the top Rub a Dub DJ's chanting it up with a full blown band behind them: 11 minutes of pure niceness awaits!

When this video was shot, Dancehall Reggae was called Rub a Dub style: crucial drum and bass lines recorded in the Studio's were released on vinyl and used by the Sound Systems and their MC's to create a crucial vibe in the dance.

Charlie Chaplin, Josey Wales and Brigadeer Jerry were at the forefront, and they show how they can even do their works together with a very flexible but supertight band.

Crucial!

  1. Brigadier Jerry, Charlie Chaplin, Josey Wales - Live, 1980's Another Jubie Rock Riff or Rip... RastaRiffin at its Best Mann... I loved this brings back heaps of good memories for me, At The Kuranda Amphitheater. A Little Village Type Town and Atmosphere - started by Hippes in the late 50s, Up in The Hills Surrounding Cairns My Home here in Australia. Where I saw - Inner Circle, UB40 a whole heap of International Acts loved the Place. And always loved playing there. Back In those days it was all about getting Herbed Up and driving home half cut. which you could do back then with a pop of 25 000 people. Now I wouldnt give you a cracker to live there Now. Its the home of the Corporate Styled Hippe - Who wears a suit in the alternate type life style. Nice if you can afford It. Yeah Corporate dropouts - Wannbe be hippies now, Or hobbie farmers as a tax dodge. Yeah but the attraction was spiritual and the experience was spiritual only wish these guys could have known about the place ... at the time. Its was a real melting pot of musical styles and people where you could intermingled with any one and everyone. No security or hangups. Never been part of any scene or culture just like the fellowship I had with every one there at the time. Always remained neutral when I was a kid.. Even though we all still had a good time. Hey man if you ever think about touring... may be you and Zeph should pair up ... man. You could call it Rasta -Zephin ... Man - Ambiance dance reggea with that - Spiritual JAHing twist. It would hit them fair bewteen the eyes. get Zeph on the drums man. But you do the singing. Joke ... Love to see it at The Kuranda Amphitheater. One Love Man . Kind rgds Bazza.
