DUBROOM MP3 REVIEW
WWW, March 2008 - DUB is very much a form of music that is produced in the studio. This highly recommended and remarkable Podcast brings the Studio on Stage with a well researched compilation of live recordings.
From Mad Professor to Bob Marley, from Power Steppers to Aswad and beyond...
Don't expect the most intense DUB mixing that can come out of the better DUB Studio. That's impossible, especially because modern technology enables the engineer to mix it up as if (s)he has 10 or more hands and live remains to require a one-take-only approach.
Don't expect a total lack of some serious dubbing either. If only because of Mad Professor who is known to Dub It all over the world, with or without band.
Do expect an interesting and well-researched compilation of DUB to DUB inspired live works by a wide variety of artists in the field of Reggae and DUB.
And expect them to play with the riddim and the mixing board!
