MAKIN' DUB (6)

Dubroom Online - January 21 2009

"MAKIN' DUB (6)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, January 21 2009 - After adding all kinds of instruments over the drum and bass, there are periods in which I take the microphone and sing.
But usually, I will do that after making a bunch of let's say 20 riddims.

Even though most people who like my music will tell me they want more vocals, at least a few licks here and there, my first love is and will always stay with DUB.

For with DUB, you release the power of Reggae that stays hidden when the mixing board is left untouched.

Anyway, after I made an instrumental track, it is time to transform it into a DUB. After all, I make riddims because I want to make DUB!

And no, this doesn't mean I won't release no more vocals...

One Love, Give Thanks,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)

MESSIAN DREAD - HERB SMOKER'S DUB
DUBROOM STAR SELECTIONS RELEASE

This is the 7th track of the album "DUB Shall Go On", released from January 15 to January 24 2009.

Some really no like smoking, that's why you get smoking bans all over the earth. That's smoking bans of tobacco, that is.

Herb Smokers are pariah's almost everywhere they go, too. This tune is a big up to all the Herb Smokers: an upfull even joyful steppers riddim that goes pretty strange every now and then!
