"ONLINE DUB ARTISTS (14)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, April 15 2009 - There is truly a need for website like the Dubroom, where the serious artists are given the respect they do not get when they are surrounded by ones who do not take themselves seriously as artists.
Social mechanisms at websites where everyone can upload their work have shown to be quite destructive for the Online DUB Artists. Social clubs of "artists" who basically do nothing but praising each other into high heaven for any other reason than the musical works provoke tensions and can even kill the websites they thrive on.
In any way, these sites are not attractive for people in search for crucial Reggae. And because of that, they are not attractive for the more serious Online Artists.
To counter this situation, many artists have joined in collectives and Net Labels. the Dubroom also has a Net Label.

Yes, the Melodica is there too. After all, in a way, the Russian Dub Sound is a Far East Sound too. The world might go crazy, but with some DUB Enjoyment, stepping outa Babylon just goes a little bit more easy.
