OBAMA? CHANGE?

OBAMA? CHANGE?
AN OBSERVATION BY MESSIAN DREAD

WWW, November 4 2008 - At the moment I write this, it is not yet known who will be selected to be the next president of the USA. By the time you will be reading this, you will probably know who the winner turned out to be.

Lots of people are totally in the ban of the current campaign by the two presidential candidates. Will this be the first black president of the USA, or will this be the first female vice-president of the USA?

Will Bush really go?

Well, it seems so. It seems, like we have all survived the last eight year in which the USA has seen the introduction of the police state, lies which costs millions of lifes, a stolen election and a president of whom it is said that he spent more money than all the president before him combined, leaving the country with an enormous debt.

He is also the most unpopular president of all times. Speeches he gave for the rich and wealthy would include lines like "some people call you the elite, I call you my base", while he made fun for the national press by showing a photo of himself looking under his desk, and "quoting" himself as saying "Those Weapons of Mass Destruction Got To Be Somewhere"...

Just before his term runs to an end, we get the financial crisis. Bush gives billions to the people he called "his base", while making fun of the people that believed his lies on the WMD's and sometimes even go so far to go to Iraq as a soldier and kill innocent people... or be killed.

Man, oh man.

What a situation.

And then, all of a sudden, there he is and he has a word.

"Change"

Will change really come?

There are Reggae singers who make songs for Obama. Millions of black people will cast their vote, many of them for the first time. They have their hope on a man of who I recently heard that he seems to be related to Dick Cheney.

He's got a who's who of the vampires that loot Jah creation behind him. Henry Kissinger, for example. A man who has to consult with his lawyer before he goes to another country since he can be arrested because of his many, many crimes. Or Colin Powell, the man who lied to the whole world and made the people believe that Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction.

His opponent, John McCain, is far behind in the polls. There are stories that the same people who gave George Bush his presidency, are now working for McCain. Indeed, the same stories we hear the last eight years start to be reported by the Dutch media now again.

When McCain get (s)elected, election fraud is proven.

But when Obama gets the job, will it bring that change?

Asking the question is (almost) answering it.

Obama is the media favorite, he's the elite's favorite, and when he brings change, this will not be for the good of the poor people. Maybe you can even say, that honest people would never be able to reach the position of being a presidential candidate anyway!

Additionally, there is only one way to know if Obama is really not the next guy that the elite pushes forward, and that is when he would be killed just like that other president who was so popular: JFK.

Today, I was thinking about these people who pray for either Obama or McCain to become president.

My prayer is a bit different.

I just prayed one word: "Maranatha".

Come, Lord Yesus, Come!

Messian Dread

MYSTERY BABYLON (164)

Dubroom Online - November 4, 2008

"MYSTERY BABYLON (164)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, November 4 2008 - How can someone go so far, to really believe that "Jesus Christ" wants to people to believe that a racist Shitstem which stole millions of people from Afrika is really "Give by God"?

Even further, how can someone go so far to try and fight down those who are exposing this Shitstem for what she really is?

In other words, just what kind of mechanism does Mystery Babylon use to trick people into spiritually fornicating with her?

Could it be, that the very same mechanisms that make people carry racist ideas in the name of Jesus Christ can also be applied to us all?

More Tomorrow...

Stricktly, and stricktly DUB. Jamaican DUB, especially. From around the late 1970's, early 1980's, to be more precise. This Podcast has some crucial selections, take for example the Dub to Culture and Prince Fari's "Message To The King".

The music is solid as a Rock, with exceptionally massive bass and drum lines skillfully compiled by someone who knows Reggae Music.

Enjoy the Ride!

BARRY G VS DAVID RODIGAN - RADIO DUB PLATE CLASH 1985
DUBROOM MP3 REVIEW

WWW, November 2008 - In this historical recording, the two UK Reggae Radio pioneers meet each other in a DUB PLATE Clash. When you don't know what that is, read on. And when you do, you're allready downloading.

The year is 1985. It was the year wherein the World Wide Reggae Massive was introduced to a brand new sound: the Sleng-Teng riddim. It was Jammy's who came up with the first "Computerized Reggae" as Digital Reggae was called for a while after that.

It was also the year in which two DJ's clashed. Two DJ's who made their name by pioneering Reggae Radio meet in a so-called DUB PLATE CLASH.

A DUB Plate is a mix created especially for Sound Systems and DJ's. Singers and MC's voice over (well known) riddims, often bigging up the Sound in a variation of a well known lyric.

When two DJ's clash, they usually better have to bring a whole lot of DUB Plates. In the case of a DUB PLATE CLASH, they better have to bring all that they have and it better be enough.

In this historical recording, we go back to the year of Sleng-Teng. Live on Jamaican and UK Radio, two DJ's clash and they both have a name to defend.

As they play one DUB Plate after the other, the necessary humor is applied. One Sleng-Teng plate after the other must reveal how well-connected they are as the hottest singers and toasters of the day big up Barry G or David Rodigan.

Not that it's all about Sleng-Teng, though.

However: the other riddims played by the two DJ's show just how special the first computerized Reggae riddim actually was.

MYSTERY BABYLON (163)

Dubroom Online - November 3, 2008

"MYSTERY BABYLON (163)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, November 3 2008 - It's in the obvious, that we can learn to recognize mechanisms that also drive us in our thinking, feeling, acting.

In the obvious that the so-called clergy are nothing but spiritual fornicators, con-fusers, who keep the people under rule of the elite in the name or Name of some God (or gods).

The very same reasoning that makes people say they are "pro life" but support the killing of innocent people in let's say Afghanistan, also keeps us in a mental form of slavery.

A reasoning that makes people write to the Dubroom to tell us in the name of "Jesus Christ" how they prefer their Babylon approved "Gospel Reggae" over music that makes people (quote) "smoking ganja and rebelling against the white society."

NOVEMBER DUB MONTH!
DUBROOM IN-SITE 12

WWW, November 2008 - When you like DUB, you will like November in the Dubroom. This month is DUB MONTH as we celebrate the Art that gave the name to this website.

Those who keep a close eye on the Dubroom rather than just checking the daily editions of Dubroom Online, know that many reviews are written before they are presented on the website's front page.

At the time this is written, yours truly is working hard on writing the Podcast reviews for the month November. And as they are posted throughout the coming month, one thing will be very clear: November is DUB Month as we will explore the many different sides and styles of the Art that gave name to this website.

Within the Reggae Community, DUB does not always deserve the credit it should be given. There are those who consider it no more than a filler for a B-side, others show their ignorance when they claim how a tune should always be filled with lyrics from the top to the last drop in order to be appreciloved.

In fact, sometimes the influence of DUB is more acknowledged outside of the Reggae Community as one electronic producer after the other dives deep in the DUB archives to get their "latest" crucial sound.

Reasons enough to give a little bit more special attention to the Art that gave the name to this website.

So check out the Dubroom in this month for some crucial, crucial Drum and Bass driven music.

MYSTERY BABYLON (162)

Dubroom Online - November 2, 2008

"MYSTERY BABYLON (162)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, November 2 2008 - Generation after generation after generation, people have been brainwashed by Babylon system. Even worse: they have been forced into a spiritual fornication which has become so normal that nobody even seems to see it, and when they do, they don't care.

Church buildings, for example. Of course these are places that have a function in the system we call "civilization". Priests, pastors and preachers have been doing nothing but fornicating with the system, and subsequently they have been preaching nothing but Babylonian Doctrines in their "Churches".

And so, now, we have people who claim to follow the teaching of Yesus Kristos going all over the world killing people, enslaving them, and they don't even realize it.

This mechanism applies to all of us, in a way.

ROOTS MINISTRY MIXDOWN PART 11
DUBROOM MP3 REVIEW

WWW, October 2008 - In another great mix by Roots Ministry selector Sista Simone, we explore more UK ROOTS and DUB drum and basslines with their vocal counterparts.

Indeed: here is one more essential addition to the collection of every self-respecting lover of the better (DUB) Reggae.

Often, Roots Ministry will introduce us to names of artists.

Dub From Atlantis, for example. Just after the very strong opening tune, just before Enos Mc Leod and Earl Zero ride a Jamaican Rub a Dub riddim, we're introduced to this interesting group.

The Bristol-based UK DUB collective started in 2000 and deserve more attention than they presently (seem to) get.

It's hard, too.

There's just too much better-than-good (DUB) Reggae, as Sista Simone of the German based Roots Ministry shows us once again. Her exceptional skills in dealing with the turntable and mixing board are a joy for the heart and soul as she leads us from one riddim into the next in ever-surprising ways.

Mixdown number 11? You guessed it. Get it!
