WWW, December 2008 - In part one of this three-part Reggaementary, our host shows us the tunes that gave birth to the name Reggae.

In three parts, our Hawai based takes us from the days of Jamaica when Reggae was born to the here and now, especially to Hawai.

The first part contains an excursion into the birth of the name Reggae, as well as the music. Who coined the phrase first? There is a difference in opinion, and we hear them both.

We also hear the tunes that gave name to the music that was there before Reggae: Rocksteady.

Everything is presented in a relaxed atmosphere: a few tunes, some comments, and some more tunes.

WWW, December 13 2008 - This last year, I have been using the space for my column in the editions of Dubroom Online, to basically share what I know about Mystery Babylon.
It was the major project, this year.

In 200 episodes, I tried to write an introduction to a matter that requires knowledge about ancient history, mind control, spiritual things and of course the runnings of the world today.

The reason why I did it, in the first place, was a private one. I wrote it for someone very special to me, who has been feeling Babylon's downpression from birth.

WWW, December 12 2008 - When you read this, probably at December 12, it will be almost a month ago that I wrote these words.

Jah Willing, I will be staying in Canada around this time where I'm visiting someone and am visited by some people who live in North America.

Partly, my reasons to visit Canada are private, but I hope that this-and-that will also lead to new material on the Dubroom itself.

Probably, I will know more by the time you read this.

At the time I am writing this evaluation, I'm still in the Netherlands, thinking about this last year in the Dubroom.

WWW, December 2008 - They are known for their Conscious lyrics in which they don't apologize for the truth that they sing over some crucial drum and bass lines. The Twinkle Brothers, live in Portland.

The sound quality is definitely not the best, but the contents of the recording is more than just historical. The music is fat, enthusiastic, spiritual and strong in the same time.

As they play one -long- tune after the next, messages are spread about freedom, equality and justice. The year is 1983, and we hear mention of apartheid but also stuff that is very actual still.

This was the time before the political correct cultural mafia decided to take on Reggae with the result that may be considered rather known as many (had to?) sign gag orders in the name of "compassion".

Anyway, you can't keep a good message down and even though the sound quality is poor, this show was obviously crucial as the vibes clearly show.

Straight to the head of Babylon!
