TRACK 5: DELUSIONS
A great introduction roll, some pretty touching horn themes, and some excellent filtering of the bass along with a lot of strategically placed echo's and other effects symbolize the cool runnings of a Truth Lover who knows how to recognize the trickster one more time.

TRACK 4: HATMAN - TONKA DUB
After the introduction roll and a couple of synthesizers, the echo's start coming, building up tension: the building continues when the drums drop in and out, in what is a real piece of mixing art.

"ONLINE DUB ARTISTS (3)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, April 4 2009 - When I started the Dubroom, I had never heard of MP3's. I created Midi files that people could play on their soundcards, and it didn't take me long to have several albums of original Midi files available for download.
There was also a thing called "Real Audio". I remember that I recorded a Midi file in audio and released it for download on the Dubroom. Someone sent me an email, warning me that it was not so wize to put complete versions of my music online...
Fortunately, I have not listened to that advice. Even though I had never heard of MP3's before, I did have that urge to share my music directly with the listeners rather than having to go all the way through the Industrial Konformity Procedures.

This one truly make the DUB CUP overflowing: a deep, lazy bass serves as the foundation for a series of well placed echoings on the drums and the several instruments, among which the melodica plays a predominant part. Dubroom Online - April 3 2009
"ONLINE DUB ARTISTS (2)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, April 3 2009 - I started to work with sequencers and other computerized forms of Studio technology somewhere around 1987. Primitive stuff, I only had sounds that would even be too cheap for children's toys today.
It enabled me to practice and develop my own techniques. I listened past the cheap sounds as I programmed drum patterns and thing, knowing that as technology would grow, so would the quality of the sounds.
I created a set-up with two SoundBlaster Soundcards, led the output to my mixing board, where I had an old tape recorder as echo and a cheap phaser, along with a microphone.
It took me about ten years, before I would get online and start sharing some of my works. The year was 1997 and I was about to witness the birth of a complete new generation and kind of artist: the Online DUB Artist.

TRACK 3: RUMOURS OF WAR
A haunting bass and echo's coming from afar, the bassdrum enters and shows the way. All around us are rumours of wars, aimed at driving us crazy, which we would become if we would not be strong. Strong like the foundational bassdrum. Ah who said DUB don't speak?

SELEKTISAM - ETRE ET AVOIR (PART 2)
Part two definitely takes off, where the first part left us: in need for some serious DUB Mixing. After about 40 seconds of pure riddim, the bassdrum enters and we step on forward!
