WWW, November 7 2008 - Babylon has managed to make the majority of people doing basically nothing but chasing for a good feeling.

She knows: when people start to chase after the next good feeling, they will never know that they are slaves. They will never want to break free, for they think that freedom is to chase after the next buzz.

In this mind-set, there is no room for what really is the key to Step Out Of Babylon.

That key, namely, is a word.

A key-word.

And that key-word is: Truth.

The Truth Shall Set You Free, and those who do not "Love The Truth", will be "Sent A Strong Delusion", so that they will "Believe The Lie".

WWW, November 2008 - After enjoying the full length, you'll still be wondering about the title. However, since you just have been served with another DUB Experience extraordinary, that will not be a problem at all.

Linvall Thompson and Horace Andy are two vocalists whose voices can be heard on some tracks in this compilation of Jamaican DUB from around the late 1970's, early 80's.

Linvall Thompson is very much predominant, which is nice since he has done a lot for the development of DUB. Not just does his voice sound crucial in echo's, he is also an acclaimed producer without who we could never have enjoyed so many Dubs that we now know by heart.

Many of these Dubs are played in "Lies and Spies", along with some lesser known material.

Watch your speakers on this one, by the way. One tune can be significantly louder than the other one....

A checklist...

The first Black president of the USA is a fact. A fact to rejoice over, which is exactly what millions of people did when it became clear that Barack Obama had won the election.

Months earlier, Reggae singer Coco Tea released a tune with a video in which he expressed his support for Obama. Carrying the Red Gold and Green, he voiced the hopes of many for "change". A cynic would say, that Coco Tea almost presented Obama as a Rastaman.

A Rasta in the White House?

Of course, the first Black president of the USA is a fact and that is a thing which in itself is very important. However, the reason why this is important has to do directly with the fact that Babylon is a reality.

In his speech after it became known that he had won the election, Barak Obama referred to the days of slavery. He spoke about a long way from the slave plantation to the White House, even though he did not use these words.

Millions of people were taken from Afrika, to work as slaves in what was called the "New World". This was part of a process which started in ancient times and we have come to identify her as Mystery Babylon.

Does Obama deserve the support of those that know themselves to Chant Down Babylon? Will he remember that the White House was built by Black Slaves?

Let's make a short list of things he should do and not neglect, if that was the case. Let's see, if our joy can stay a little longer.

• Close Guantanamo Bay and all other Torture camps
• Reverse the Police State at home and Empire-building abroad
• Have those people arrested who committed torture and other crimes, including the politicians responsible
• Stop the "War on Drugs"

will Obama really make a "Change", as he promised? Will he at least try to reverse what has been done to the people of the world especially these last eight years during the Bush era?

It's November 2008...

Let's see...

WWW, November 6 2008 - The more we unravel the ways Mystery Babylon uses to keep us in mental slavery, the more we enter in the realms of "The Great Taboo"...

Sounds logical, and so it is. But when it reaches our front door, very personal, we start to really feel it.

For Babylon knows a few things which she is desperately trying to keep away from those that follow her so diligently.

She knows, that "When You Know The Truth, The Truth Shall Set You Free".

She also knows, that "Because They Loved Not The Truth, Jah Sent Them A Strong Delusion".

And this is exactly where Mystery Babylon enters the front doors of our homes, yes, the very doors of our very.... souls!

WWW, November 2008 - A couple of DJ tracks, some DUBS from several times and places, here is 22 minutes of pure musical niceness.

Ah, well, better to say that it's about 20 minutes of musical minutes. Before that, we've heard a collection of jingles and sound clips to get us into the vibe. The vibe of the Punky Reggae Party, Rub a Dub and Rockers to name just a bit.

One Dub a Day would be by far not be enough: even the 22 minutes of this Podcast aren't enough for even the basic daily needs of the average Reggae lovers.

However, 20 minutes is better than three minutes.

Regardless of the many justified arguments against the politicks of Barack Obama, the fact that November 2008 marked the time in which the first Black Man enters the White House as president of the USA was and is something to rejoice over. Especially, when you are a Black (wo)man in the USA or even in other countries of the world.

In the night it became know that he was (s)elected to be that first Black president of the USA, people all over the country went crazy for joy. Hope and happiness could be read on everybody's face.

The campaign that brought Obama to the White House, started somewhere early 2008 and this was also the time wherein Reggae singer Coco Tea did a thing to express his support for what later turned out to become the first Black president of the USA.

This is his song.

WWW, November 5 2008 - Babylon keeps people under mental slavery, and the reason why she can do that is because there is a mechanism of some kind behind it.
Actually, there are several.

The first one is what we have come to know as "The Whole Of The Law", Satan's Law that is. It basically teaches people to follow after their feelings, to subsequently strive for the best feeling as the highest goal in life.

One's feeling has become the center of one's universe, and the only thing that Babylon then has to do is give you a good feeling, or even more exact: to deprive you from every good feeling and to give you only a bit when you do what she says.

But there's another one too.

WWW, November 2008 - Vocals, DJ tracks and DUBS: they're all presented in this versatile compilation of some of the better Jamaican Reggae produced since the mid 1970's.

A more recent version Dennis Brown's "General", followed by a DUB from an older rendition of the same track by the same singer open up this mix filled with Jamaican Niceness.

Although the volumes of the different tracks vary quite a bit which you might like to know before putting the volume to your speakers at a maximum, it's a true joy to listen to the General Mix.

Simply because it's filled with crucial DUBs, DJ and vocal tracks.
