EVALUATING 2008 (7)

Dubroom Online - December 17, 2008

"EVALUATING 2008 (7)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, December 17 2008 - In 2007, we started with a weblog at blogspot. This year, that was expanded and now there are several Dubroom Weblogs to which you can subscribe via several ways.

It's been set up to serve people who are only interested in specific aspects of the Dubroom.

The main Weblog will keep the function that it had originally: (almost) every day, you will read at least one review and/or article, plus this column.

However, there are people who prefer to only read the reviews, or just the articles by the Babylon Observer.

It is for them, that now these several weblogs have been set up.

EVALUATING 2008 (6)

Dubroom Online - December 16, 2008

"EVALUATING 2008 (6)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, December 16 2008 - Even though the column "Mystery Babylon" was the major Dubroom project this year, this doesn't mean that it was the only thing happening.

Again, we've published hundreds of reviews from the best online Video's, Podcasts and online Artists.

With the exception of two months in total or so, the Dubroom has been updated every day with new reviews, articles and more.

When you've taken a subscription to the Mailing List and downloaded the material around the time the reviews were published, you will now have hundreds and hundreds of hours of crucial (DUB) Reggae.

However, you've also seen material that dealt with everything related to Consciousness.

HISTORY OF REGGAE - 3
DUBROOM MP3 REVIEW

WWW, December 2008 - The last part of this three-part history of Reggae Music takes us worldwide as we explore just what Reggae and Rastafari has brought to the people of the world.

As our host concludes his three-part history of Reggae, he tells us how through Reggae, Rastafari not only inspirated social movements, but equally the indigenous people of the world.

Like Reggae was a melting of American music and Jamaican Folk Music, so do people around the world combine their Folk Music with Reggae. We get to hear a number of examples.

That's it, before we go into the place where our horst lives: Hawaii.

Check it out!

EVALUATING 2008 (5)

Dubroom Online - December 15, 2008

"EVALUATING 2008 (5)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, December 15 2008 - From the feedback that I got, the column "Mystery Babylon" was generally received in a positive manner.

I used this space, my column, for it. And not without reason.

A column is a personal place, where someone can write something more than just a factual article or a researched comment.

I know very well, that the things I know are not complete, and I don't see everything perfectly either. in other words, I'm just human, too.

I did not have the time, this year, to write a book with the same topic. However, I might just do that (in the) next year(s).

HISTORY OF REGGAE - 2
DUBROOM MP3 REVIEW

WWW, December 2008 - The second part of this three-part history of Reggae takes us to the 1970's, when Reggae became more and more popular throughout the world.

In three parts, we are taken through the history of Reggae from a Hawaiian perspective, that is. Part two takes us to the 1970's, when Rastafari became more and more a predominant theme in the music.

Before that, we are taken to Jamaica's economic situation after the independence which was cause for a new kind of suffering, and a new kind of music.

We hear some of the greatest from the 1970's, from Culture to Niney the Observer, from Peter Tosh to the Lone Ranger.
