WWW, December 20 2008 - On a spiritual level, I had a real intense year. On a personal level too, by the way.

It wasn't easy for me to tell Zeph Daniel on his Radio Broadcast early this year, that I have a thing people call autism. I'm not usually the kind of person to share personal information, but there were reasons for me to come forward with this still.

Throughout the years, I had been privately contacted by many people who turned out to know people with autism.

Parents, for example.

It was an encouragement for them to see the Dubroom, knowing that autism is not the source of problems that many think of.

"EVALUATING 2008 (9)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, December 19 2008 - In 2007, the Dubroom Studio was seriously expanded with a digital drum kit. We expected to get to work quite soon, but that turned out to be not the case.

We still need to build further, before we can start a project that we are trying to get done for two decades now: a DUB studio where musicians meet the sequencer and vice versa.

However: when everything is being set up, we are able to record and release hundreds of riddims which can be used by other musicians, vocalists, DUB engineers, et cetera.

Like the Dubroom Star Selections NET Label, building the Dubroom Studio takes a long time and that means: years...

"EVALUATING 2008 (8)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, December 18 2008 - Slowly, the Dubroom's Net Label is growing as well. Unlike most years, the Dubroom released more music by other artists than Messian Dread music.

This year, we've released an EP by DUB Technician JAH Billah, and as you see, we're currently releasing a 20-track Net Album (1 1/2 hour worth of music) by Heartical.

Easy come, easy go. And so, we're building all of this slowly as we travel further into the future.

The nice thing is, we'll never know in advance what will happen.

I definitely had different ideas when 2008 started...
