"THE FAR EAST ROOTS OF UK ROOTS" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, September 26 2007 - In some circles, it is a must to have at least a couple of tracks with the melodica in it. The Dubroom has released tracks with the instruments, and a file for producers containing samples of a real melodica.
It all has to do with the Far East Sound, Augustus Pablo's legacy. He originated, and countless imitated.
Augustus Pablo is also said to have been influential for what is now known as the UK Roots Sound: heavy Steppers rhythms, Dub, and Consciousness.
In fact, there is one track that is said to have done it, a track which we have reviewed for today's episode of Dubroom Online.
Give Thanks, One Love,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)
