"NYABINGHY (4)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, November 12 2007 - It's not for nothing that Rastafarians play their own heart-beat rhythm at their gatherings, where the name of that rhythm means "Death To Black and White Downpressors".
At these gatherings, called grounations, they will play and pray. Just like the Israelites used music to break down the walls of the downpressors, so will Rastafarians "Chant Down Babylon" by singing praises to JAH.
You could call it prophetic. For even though Babylon is still present and doing her evil in this Iwa ("era"), every time you hear the sound of the Nyabinghy Drum, this is prophecy in Word Sound and Power.
