WWW, October 2008 - Just why "The Day The Dollar Die" by Peter Tosh isn't included in this topical selection, is a mystery. It would definitely have been better than the few non-Reggae tunes with which the Podcast starts.
When you don't like, eer, let's say, early American Music like rock 'n' roll, then the advise is to skip the first 11 minutes and 48 seconds. You did miss out on one ska tune, but you also missed out on some music that the Dubroom will leave unreviewed as well.
In other words, yes we skipped it too.
Doesn't matter.
After all, it's a crisis time and the financial crisis is more than a fact at the time the Podcast was created and this review was written. One bank after the other falls down, or into government hands, and the title of that Peter Tosh tune which is definitely a big miss in this Podcast, can be the newspaper headlines of tomorrow.
The dollar may die, Reggae will not. The non-Reggae played in the Podcast may be too dated for most, the Reggae is not.

WWW, October 29 2008 - When you look to the so-called "Christian Right", or even to "Christian Politicians" in general, you see a perfect example of the kind of Mix-up of Con-Fusion that Babylon stands for.
You will see the same persons screaming bloody murder about abortion and cursing "gay marriage", worshipping the military and killings of innocent people in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
You will see the so-called Church Reformers such as John Calvin write big fat books about the Bible, in the same time committing politics which makes the Taliban look like a human rights group.
So, what is the con-fusion or mix-up in this?

WWW, October 2008 - Killings, Torture, Political Dictatorship: all in the Name of Jesus Christ. Welcome to the "love" of John Calvin's Christianity, which shapes the doctrines and philosophy of many of today's Evangelical Christians, including Rick Warren.
Dave Hunt is a well-known Bible teacher based in the USA. He is known for his in-depth analyses of trends and movements in especially the Evangelical part of what "Christianity". With books like "The Seduction Of Christianity", he exposed the New Age nature of many popular "prophets" and "healers".
However, it's not just those more or less recent trends within Christianity that may find themselves into the attention of Dave Hunt. Under the title "A Woman Rides The Beast", he exposed the system of the Roman Catholic Church for what she really is, too.
In "What Love Is This", Dave Hunt exposes another part of Christianity, which came into existence in Western Europe a couple of centuries ago. It's widely known as "The Reformation": the birth of the Protestant Churches in Europe.
The Reformation Movement included people like Martin Luther and also a man called John Calvin, the founder of what we now know under the name "Calvinism". He wrote a number of books, in which he created a whole philosophy around what he perceived the Message of the Divine Saviour to be. He also became the mayor of Geneva (Switzerland) where he would practice the kind of politics that even the Taliban of today are not accused of.
In this lecture, Dave Hunt sheds light on various aspects of Calvinism. He shows without the shadow of a doubt, that Calvin's ideas have nothing to do with the God Who reveals Himself in the original Bible. There is no love whatsoever to be found in the Message that the God of John Calvin has, as can be seen in the practical work-out of Calvinism.
John Calvin would torture people who disagreed with him. A child who had a bad mouth against his parents would be beheaded, for example. People who refused to accept child baptism were drowned, others were burned alive.
In England, followers of the religious dictator and false prophet turned the whole country into an even more extreme version of Calvin's Geneva. Everybody who would disagree with John Calvin's sick doctrines, would be tortured and killed.
In fact, the whole "Reformation" was nothing more than... a reformation. A system was updated, rather than abolished. Babylon wasn't left, Babylon was... updated.
The Roman Catholic Church is known for it's brutal persecution of "heretics". The stories of the Crusades and the Inquisition can be considered standard knowledge, but the fact that the so-called "Reformers" continued the practice of religious dictatorship is rather ignored by many who called themselves Protestant or Evangelical Christians today.
In fact, Dave Hunt shows that the two predominant names of the Reformation, Martin Luther and John Calvin, were Roman Catholics who actually took their ideas from Augustine, a "church father" who basically is the founder of Roman Catholicism. Luther, for example, was an Augustinian Monk.
The "Reformers" didn't step out of the Babylon that is the Roman Catholic Church System, but they rather, as the word says, "reformed" it. With the result, that those people who practiced adult baptism rather than child baptism would be persecuted, tortured and killed.
Fast forward to today. Contemporary followers of John Calvin's reli-fascism may not have the political power they used to have anymore, but if they would, the Taliban would be considered a human rights group compared to them.
We know them under various names, one of which is "dominionists". Rick Warren and his Purpose Driven Madness, for example, can also be seen as a political Calvinist since he strives to create "world peace" under the rule of his "Purpose Driven Christianity".
In Calvin's philosophy, "Christians" are a superior kind of being and destined to take over the whole world so that Jesus Christ can safely return, as if the Lord God and Saviour is a helpless individual.
They will impose by law what the Bible says is the Work of the Holy Spirit within people, creating not only an evil caricature (Dave Hunt calls it a "misrepresentation") of God, but de facto creating an environment wherein Satan's Antichrist feels very much at home.

WWW, October 28 2008 - We can't emancipate ourselves out of a slavish mentality, when we don't even know that we do have such a mentality in the first place.
But when we do the research, do the observation, when we love the truth, we have made that first and most significant Step Out Of Babylon.
The next step would be to discern. To discern between the two things that Babylon tries to mix, to fuse.
When we realize, that Babylon means con-fusion or mix-up, that she is portrayed as the Mother of all Harlots, we see that her Method of Operation is to constantly fuse, mix, what should not be fused or mixed.

666: MARKING MAN A BEAST
A BABYLON OBSERVER OBSERVATION
WWW, October 2008 - The Apocalypse tells us, that some day mankind has to wear something called the Mark of the Beast in order to buy and/or sell. Is this "just" an economic thing, or is there something more sinister behind the number 666?
Implantable chips the size of a grain of rice, carrying all of our information including our financial situation. We just walk into the supermarket, take what we want, and the money is automatically taken off my account straight into that of the supermarket.
A situation that is no longer Science Fiction. Years ago, the Babylon Observer reported how the Baja Beach Club introduced such a thing and the owner spoke openly how he "believed wholeheartedly in the chip-system" and "it could be a global passport".
In the current financial crisis, we see the call for a Global Summit of the financial elite. We see people calling for a global currency, now that the Dollar will obviously fall and fail to continue to be that global currency it was until this time.
In the same time, New Agers like Peter Joseph make movies like "Zeitgeist" wherein they lay down the blueprint of the New Age society. People who think that they are against the Shitstem we call Babylon are fooled en masse into calling for the New World Order that will ultimately give us that World Leader.
This World Leader will cause everyone to wear the Mark of the Beast, without which no one can buy/sell. The scene is set for it, the waiting is for the "right crisis".
But is this just about the money, or is there something more going on?
Those who research the origins of Mystery Babylon that will bring us the Mark of the Beast, know that the System is set up to re-install the situation as it was, according to the Bible, "in the Days of Noah".
The proponents of the Mystery will rather speak about that situation by a different name, though. That name would be "Atlantis".
Adolph Hitler, who used the IBM company to mark the concentration camp victims, also spoke a lot about Atlantis, specifically about one race of beings in Atlantis called the Aryans. Hitler dreamed about the restoration of Atlantis, specifically the restoration of these "Aryans".
Low-level Nazi's keep thinking until this day, that Hitler spoke about the "white man". But in fact, Hitler spoke about what he called "Der Neue Mensch", or in English: "The New Man".
Fast forward to our time again. We live in the days wherein Universities have conferences about the "Post-humans". The "next step in the evolution of mankind" is announced, and expected.
We have allready passed the stage wherein people can be chipped so that they don't have to carry a wallet anymore. Where IBM marked the concentration camp victims, they are now part of developing the RFID chip that will mark every one.
But it goes further, as we see when we look at Universities like Oxford who have conferences about the "Post-humans". Literally, this word means "men that come after men". Hitler's "Neue Mensch"!
The technicians are working hard making it possible for man to fuse with machines. In order to become a "Post-human", you will have to have a little bit more than just an implantable chip.
And exactly that is written in the Apocalypse, when this Mark, this Chip if you will, is called the Mark of the Beast. The Apocalypse also indicates that those who take that mark are no longer considered to be eligible for the Salvation that the Creator made possible for all.... human beings!
In other words, you will no longer be a human being, when you carry the Mark of.... the Beast.
Whatever that Mark may ultimately be, it will mark you as a "Post-human": a Beast.
