SINKO PODCAST: THE CLASH PUNKY REGGAE TRIBUTE (DUBROOM MP4 REVIEW)

SINKO PODCAST: THE CLASH PUNKY REGGAE TRIBUTE
DUBROOM MP4 REVIEW

WWW, May 2008 - Bob Marley's track "Punky Reggae Party" officially recognized a connection that Babylon didn't like at all: In Europe, the Punk Movement teamed up with the Rastafari Movement in a joint effort to chant down Babylon.

PLAYLIST

As the Hippie Movement turned out to be nothing but another way of enjoying the system, another movement was born and the name was Punk.

No more "peace and love", please, for that was only another word to describe fascism. Words like "No Future" popped up, and singers like Peter Tosh pointed out to the fact that all of this had to do with truth, when he sang "There ain't gonna be no peace til man kind equal rights and justice".

Punk was, unlike the Hippie Movement, very militant and the ideal of anarchy was translated for a new generation that was confronted with the extreme downpressure of the state. The militancy of the original Punk movement was directly aimed at Babylon Shitstem, just like the Rastafari Movement, and in spite of the countless cultural differences, the two movements knew themselves to be in the same fight.

Musically, Punk Bands would pay tribute to Reggae Music and this is where the Clash and this podcast enters.

The Clash was a Punk Rock band that knew themselves to be connected with Reggae Music and the message that came out of Jamaica. They teamed up with producer Mikey Dread and played a number of cover tunes in which they paid tribute to Rastafari and Reggae.

Five tunes that celebrate the Punky Reggae Party!

MYSTERY BABYLON (131)

Dubroom Online - Edition June 4, 2008

"MYSTERY BABYLON (131)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, June 4 2008 - Where Babylon names herself "Babylon", there are actually two ways of hearing that word.

When you speak Babylonianese, you will see the system as the gateway to (the) Gods, but when you speak the language of the One Who revealed the Mystery for who she really is, her name means "confusion".

There is a deeper overstanding in this fact, as it's only a symptom of a spiritual reality behind all of this. A reality that is far more real than the so-called reality we have learned to accept as "truth", because the shitstem told us it was true.

Confused? You could also say: Babylonian!

DUBROOM MESSAGE BOARDS ONLINE AGAIN!

MESSIAN DREAD - CHURCH OF CONFUSION (DUBROOM MP3 RELEASE)

MESSIAN DREAD - CHURCH OF CONFUSION
DUBROOM MP3 RELEASE

TRACK DESCRIPTION

This is the 11th track of my album "Showcase".

It's the bridge between the Rub a Dub part of the album and the serious steppers which are about to follow. The tune is played in the same style as the first track, but goes much further in Dub and Depth.

The introduction drum roll comes in reverse and lands with a crash cymbal into the first bar, where the bass takes over as it goes through several layers of effects.

Horns announce the return of the drums, and the drum and bass play their way through vocal snippets and instruments dropping in and out.

Heavy, heavy Roots. Heavy, heavy Dub. And so, the topic can't be something light either. Which it isn't.

The Church of Confusion (another word for Babylon) has many members, a lot of them are also members of the true Church of Yesus Kristos (Jesus Christ). This tune contains the thought of someone who realized his position and moves out of Babylon!

LYRICS

People, living in the church of confusion
People, building on the sinking sand

Steeples, buildings of the church of confusion
Steeples, building on the sinking sand

No matter where you go
And no matter where you don't
you drive fast or slow
Til you reach your next beyond

The roads all lead to Rome
when you follow preacher man
So no more will I roam
In this church of Babylon

Jah Jah, He's the Most High God and Creator
Jah Jah, Yesus Kristos builds His Church

Praise Him, He's the Most High God and Creator
Praise Him, Yesus Kristos builds His Church

For Jah so loved the world
That He gave His only Son
He loves you, boy and girl,
And He wants you in Zion

He sees you as a pearl
So you must be in His Kingdom
So listen, boy and girl,
Put your trust in Jah Jah Son.

DUBROOM MESSAGE BOARDS ONLINE AGAIN!

Greetings!

After a couple of days of being deprived from them, the Dubroom Message Boards are online again. As expected, no word from the provider concerning the time wherein their servers, all but one, were not working.

I'm happy, obviously, that the boards are functioning again, but in the same time it made me wonder. There are so many valueable things on the message boards: thousands of pages with countless interesting articles, debates and discussions, promotions, et cetera. This could all be lost with the blow of a webserver. Maybe I should back it up or so...

Anyway, the boards are back! See you there!

MYSTERY BABYLON (130)

Dubroom Online - Edition June 3, 2008

"MYSTERY BABYLON (130)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, June 3 2008 - "What's in A Name?", someone asked a few centuries ago. The answer obviously is: "An Identity". But in the case of Mystery Babylon, it goes even further as it matters which language you apply when you speak her name.

Mysterious? Yes, that's why she's called Mystery. Something which is hidden.

Babylon's Identity is hidden in her name, and it matters which language you speak when it comes to the definition you apply to that name. For the definition we apply, show our identities too!

Translated from her own language, the name "Babylon" stand for "Gateway To (The) God(s)".

Translated from the ancient Hebrew language, however, the name has a totally different meaning even though the word stays the same and is also used to identify the same Mystery or Shitstem.

Translated from Hebrew, the word "Babylon" means "confusion".

MESSIAN DREAD - MERCHANDIZE IN THEIR HANDS (ALBUM VERSION) DUBROOM MESSAGE BOARDS STILL OFFLINE!

MESSIAN DREAD - MERCHANDIZE IN THEIR HANDS (ALBUM VERSION)

MESSIAN DREAD - MERCHANDIZE IN THEIR HANDS
DUBROOM MP3 RELEASE

TRACK DESCRIPTION

This is the 2nd track of my album "Showcase".

This track is also in One Drop style. But much more traditional than the previous one. And much slower, too!

Starting with the vocal part, in which it becomes clear just who are the merchandize and in whose hands they are.

Throughout the whole track, there's some Dub mixing going on, but only after the singing is when the Dub really starts.

During this Dub, there's some toasting in a Rootsman Style.

LYRICS

The days are coming,
Yes the time is at hand
When all Jah people
Got to overstand

About false teachers
And the game that they play
How they sell JAH People
And the Gospel of Christ

They call themselves
Pastor, preacher or president
Your faith is their labour
You're merchandize in their hands

They are slave master
So Jah people take care
They are vampire
So Jah people beware

Beware of the vultures
The Christian industry
They imitate cultures
For the love of money

They say it's their mission
But it's their business I say
They claim it's their mission
For which you have to pay

But when read up my Bible
I don't see it like that
I read up the Scriptures
It's something different I get

And when I reason with them
They tell me all kinds of thing
And while they blame it on the system
They are working for it.

(DJ)

Yeah, you know...
When Yesus Kristos went to the market place
And when he went to the Temple Yard
He saw the same thing

And so He took a whip
And drove them out of the Temple Yard
and bring them right back
To the marketplace

Cause them sell out
the very Faith of the Faithful
Seen?

And that is why we got to speak the truth
Speak it ever
Forward ever
And backward never.

DUBROOM MESSAGE BOARDS STILL OFFLINE!

Greetings!

Yesterday, I had to announce that the Dubroom Message Baords were not where they are supposed to be, namely out there in Cyberspace and accesible for everyone. Yes, the boards are off-line and there is nothing I can do about it.

The reason is, that all the websites of the Message Board provider are offline. This scares me a little bit, because it could very well be that they ended their services without telling their customers. However, obviously I check 100 times a day to see if something is offline and the main website, www.xsorbit.com, was online for a minute or two so for now I also consider the possibility that the company hjas some major site issues.

It's not just a bad thing for all those people that like to visit and participate in the Message Boards, but also for me as I use the messageboard to create the right lay out for this weblog. A technical thing, but the fact that the board is offline increases the amount of work I have to do every do significanty.

Anyway, please pray with me that the boards will be online soon again. I'll keep you posted, and when there is no more forum I will obviously look into another possibility.

One Love, Give Thanks,
Messian Dread
